The Marketing Program As one of the more popular programs in the Business Division, the Marketing Program continues to grow, with approximately 45 majors. The field of marketing has many career possibilities (see below) and offers competitive salaries. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, “employment of advertising, marketing, promotions, public relations, and sales managers is expected to increase by 12 percent through 2016. Median annual earnings in May 2006 were $73,060 for advertising and promotions managers, $98,720 for marketing managers, $91,560 for sales managers, and $82,180 for public relations managers. Median annual earnings of wage and salary advertising and promotions managers in May 2006 in the advertising and related services industry were $97,540."The overall goal for students enrolled in the Marketing Program is to acquire the knowledge/skills necessary to effectively develop, price, promote, and distribute, earth-friendly, world-class quality products/services that satisfy the needs/wants of consumers and organizations. marketing, The Franklin Pierce University
Marketing majors and other business majors have the opportunity to participate in the internationally recognized Students in Free Enterprise as well as Small Business Advisory Groups. Both of these opportunities allow students to assume the role of a consulting group that assesses, researches, and provides recommendations to organizations throughout New Hampshire. The Small Business Advisory Group works in conjunction with the Small Business Development Centers Network of New Hampshire.
