Endowment Fund
Endowment gifts help strengthen the foundation of Franklin
Pierce’s financial health. A strong endowment provides long-term
financial stability. The Endowment Fund is a permanent,
self-sustaining fund that operates much like any savings and
investment portfolio. The principal is carefully invested and
over time, grows. Only the interest from the fund can be spent
for the operation of the College.
The income generated from unrestricted gifts to the endowment
allow the College the flexibility to respond to critical needs
unmet by other funding sources and allows Franklin Pierce to
attract and support top students, hire and retain outstanding
faculty, and offer quality academic programs.
Donors may specify a particular purpose for an endowed gift,
such as scholarships to be provided in perpetuity or they may
give their gift unrestricted—not designated to any particular
purpose. Unrestricted gifts offer the College the greatest
flexibility to meet challenges and opportunities now and in the
future.
Gifts to the Endowment Fund will help future generations of
Franklin Pierce students and ensure the growth and financial
